An Overview of RefWorks

What is RefWorks?

It is an online research management, writing and collaboration tool designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies. Free to current ESC students, faculty & staff members.   What that means is you can input information for articles or other resources you find and save them there to have for future use, to create citations or to share with fellow students.

To use RefWorks, you need to create your own account with them.  Your ESC login will get your access but will not give you an account.

To get to RefWorks:

Click on Cite Your Sources on the library homepage

You will find RefWorks listed under Citation Tools.

When you select RefWorks, this takes you to our very informative RefWorks page.  It has links to all sorts of helpful resources and information.  In the box at the top of the page is the main info you will need.  This is where you can click to login or create an account.  The RefWorks support contact information is also listed here. To login or create your account, click RefWorks Login.

You will need to login with your ESC login to get access.  Then you either need to create your individual account or login if you have already created one.
